We asked Allison some questions about her work passions, inspirations, and enjoyment activities. Learn more about her and how her relatability and authenticity supports her therapist self.

Q. What do you wish more people knew about therapy?

Therapy is for everyone—not just those navigating major life challenges or past trauma. Wanting to live more intentionally or better understand your patterns is reason enough to begin. You don’t need to have it all figured out—part of the work is learning how to name and explore what you’re feeling along the way.

Q. What’s a small daily ritual that helps you stay connected to yourself?

I start my mornings with coffee and quiet—no screens, no to-do list. Just space to be with myself and notice how I’m feeling. It’s a small pause that helps me feel more present as the day begins.

Q. If you could offer one piece of advice to your younger self, what would it be?

If I could offer one piece of advice to my younger self, it would be that you don’t need to have it all figured out. Life isn’t a straight path, and it’s normal to learn and grow along the way.

Q. What does healing look like to you?

Healing looks like becoming more present to your feelings without fear or judgment and nurturing a compassionate relationship with yourself. It looks like being able to sit with experiences you used to run from, not perfectly but with more tolerance and kindness. Healing means creating the space to thrive again—growing through challenges, rebuilding trust, and opening up to connection and compassion.
