Therapy Options at Thrive

Individual Therapy

A supportive, comfortable, and collaborative environment will be created for clients to share their stories and establish personal therapeutic goals with their therapist. You and your therapist will co-create an intervention plan to support your needs. All therapists and therapy approaches at Thrive are relational and trauma-informed.

In working towards your goals in therapy the benefits are endless. Some common benefits of therapy include improved communication skills, empowerment, overcoming obstacles, understanding yourself with compassion, improve relationships, cultivate internal safety, and develop strategies to manage distress.

Family Therapy

Family therapy is a type of group psychotherapy that aims to minimize the distress and conflict in a family by enhancing the interactions and communication between family members.

Family therapy helps with improved communication, enhanced problem solving, increased empathy and understanding, setting healthy boundaries, enhanced parenting skills, strengthened relationships, prevention of future problems.

EMDR: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

A specialized form of psychotherapy that allows individuals to process and release traumatic memories, distressing thoughts, and/or difficult emotions.

EMDR Therapy can help clients cope with difficult emotions, reduce anxiety and improve self esteem. Effective form of treatment for PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief or panic attacks from past trauma events.

Couples Therapy

Couples therapy is a safe therapeutic space for both partners to focus on their relationship health, goals and needs with the support of a neutral therapist. Couples therapy at thrive is grounded in attachment and emotion focused approaches, Polyvagal (Somatic) Theory, Family Systems Theory, and Narrative Therapy.

We will help you learn to navigate conflict respectfully and fairly, to understand each other's unique relationship needs, explore your relationship dynamic, roles and functioning, how to navigate stressors and changes, and to respond effectively to each other’s wounds.

Child Therapy

Child therapy, is similar to individual therapy, however it uses specific approaches and interventions designed to support children and youth at their developmental age and stage. Thrive supports children aged 5+.

Child Therapy can lead to improved self esteem, improved relationships with others, better able to manage big emotions, improved regulation, decrease in school problems.

Single Session Therapy

A one-off, possibly longer session, to focus on one particular issue and give you the support you need.

Single session therapy allows you to access immediate help, it is solution focused, and it can be more affordable.

Clinical Supervision

Ashley and Lalita are approved clinical supervisors with CRPO. Individual, dyadic, and group supervision and education is available for mental health professionals across Ontario.

Supervision allows supervisee’s to nurture their skills, enhance safe and effective use of self, safeguard the wellbeing of the client, and elevate their practice.

Group Therapy

Thrive offers therapeutic and psychoeducational groups for the London community.

1:1 support may not be for you! Our specialized groups offer community, connection, support, compassion and more!

Community Presentations

Thrive offers customized mental health presentations to organizations, schools, and groups in the community.

Presentations will come from a lens that blends research with practice based knowledge and experiential learning to support your unique needs to improve the overall wellness of your team.

You can explore the team's bio’s to see if a particular therapist resonates with you, or Stacy can direct you to who may be a good fit for you to explore what is bringing you to therapy.  You can utilize our online booking site to schedule a free consultation call, or your first session. Regardless, a team member at Thrive will guide you along the way.

 

All of our therapists will use a collaborative and compassionate therapeutic approach to foster a strong therapeutic relationship. We will bring our therapeutic skills and professional knowledge while respecting you as the expert of your own lived experience so that we can walk alongside you on this journey.
