We asked Jule some questions about her work passions, inspirations, and enjoyment activities. Learn more about her and how her relatability and authenticity supports her therapist self.
Q: What types of issues or clients do you feel especially passionate about?
A: I feel especially passionate about working with clients who are interested in gaining a deeper understanding of themselves and their emotions. I find it rewarding to support individuals as they explore their inner experiences, recognize patterns in their thoughts and feelings, and build self-awareness. I’m also very interested in helping clients improve their relationships both with themselves and with others by exploring relationships and improving connections. I enjoy guiding clients toward insight and self-compassion, which can have a meaningful impact on both their personal growth and their interactions with others.
Q: What do you wish for those engaging in therapy support?
A: I hope that those engaging in therapy support feel seen, understood, and supported in exploring their emotions and experiences. I wish for them to gain insight into themselves, build self-compassion, and develop tools to navigate challenges in their relationships and daily life. Ultimately, I hope therapy helps them feel more empowered, connected, and able to live in a way that feels true to themselves.
Q: What's your favourite meal?
A: My favourite meal is gnocchi! It is a traditional Italian dish typically made from potatoes. I grew up with my Nonna (grandmother) making this for me as a way to express her love, but also to share a bit of our culture. If I go to an Italian restaurant that has this on the menu, without fail I will always order this as it is both delicious and a comfort food.
Q: If you weren't a therapist, what would you be doing instead?
A: If I weren’t a therapist, I would likely be a Recreational Therapist. I did my undergrad in Recreational Therapy and had the opportunity to work within this role for a few years. Recreational Therapy focuses on using leisure and recreational activities to support well-being and improve quality of life. I really enjoy helping people discover personalized ways to bring them joy and meaning, and finding ways to care for themselves through activities that are fun, engaging, and fulfilling.
