A Little About Me
Our experiences can shape the way we see ourselves, understand our emotions, and move through relationships. At times, we can find ourselves repeating familiar patterns, putting other people’s needs before our own, or feeling disconnected from what we actually want or need. I believe therapy can be a space to step back from these patterns, understand ourselves better, and create space for something to feel different.
I deeply value genuine human connection and believe that feeling truly seen, heard, and understood can be an important part of the therapeutic process. I approach therapy with curiosity, slowing things down to better understand what is happening beneath the surface. Together, we can explore your emotions, experiences, and relationship patterns to understand how they shape the way you relate to yourself and others, making space for both understanding and meaningful change.
I work with teens (14+), adults, and couples, with a focus on people-pleasing and perfectionism, understanding and expressing emotions, emotional regulation, relationship challenges, and identity and self-understanding. I also work with clients who find themselves caught in familiar relationship cycles that leave them feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward.
My approach is person-centred, trauma-informed, and relational, drawing on attachment theory to understand how our experiences can shape the ways we relate to ourselves and others. I integrate approaches including humanistic therapy, somatic therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), drawing from each as needed to foster greater self-understanding, connection, and self-compassion.
My hope is that therapy can become a place where you feel safe enough to slow down and curious enough to better understand yourself, your emotions, and your relationships, so you can feel more at home with who you are.
If you are looking for a warm, genuine, and relational therapist to walk alongside you, I invite you to reach out for a free consultation.
