Hey, I'm Allison
I support individuals and couples in understanding themselves and their relationships, healing from past experiences, and creating meaningful change with greater self-compassion and connection.

A Little About Me
I am deeply passionate about the healing process. I am constantly inspired by the resilience of those I work with and hold a genuine belief in the power of individuals' innate wisdom to guide their healing journey. My approach is rooted in compassion, understanding, and respect for each person's unique path. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can feel seen and heard, where healing can unfold naturally. I view therapy as a collaborative journey, where we work together to explore your emotions, process challenges, and bring balance back to your life.
My approach is client-centred and trauma-informed, ensuring that every individual feels respected, valued, and empowered. I recognize the profound impact that trauma can have on one's mental and emotional well-being, and I take care to create a safe, gentle space where healing can occur at your own pace. I work with you to develop a strong therapeutic relationship where we can make sense of your experiences and work through them together. I draw from approaches including Internal Family Systems, Emotionally-Focused Couples and Individual Therapy, a relational and humanistic lens, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
I primarily work with adults and couples who feel stuck or overwhelmed by anxiety, trauma, relationship concerns, and emotional dysregulation. I believe that everyone has the potential for growth and change, and I am here to support you in exploring the parts of yourself that are asking for attention.
I am committed to values of compassion, non-judgment, mindfulness, and emotional empowerment. I aim to help clients develop a deeper trust in themselves and their ability to heal. Healing starts exactly where you're at, and I look forward to meeting you there.
In addition to being a psychotherapist, I am a partner and pet owner who finds joy in travelling, being outdoors, gardening, good food, and meaningful connection. I am happiest surrounded by friends and family, exploring new places, enjoying the simple things, and continuing to learn and grow along the way.
"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change." — Carl Rogers
